PRESCHOOL CAMPS
- Designed for kids ages 3-5 who have not yet entered Kindergarten. Campers must be at least 3 years old and fully toilet-trained (able to use the restroom completely independently).
- Campers should bring a water bottle. Preschool camps do not have a snack break; please plan accordingly.
- All camps run Monday through Thursday, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
- The first Preschool Camp takes place the week of June 30.

Let’s Go!
June 30 – July 3
Monday – Thursday, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
From cars to trains and even planes, there are lots of ways to get around! Explore the world of transportation through games, songs and toys. Make art with tire tracks, haul loads with a dump truck and build a speedy test ramp for racecars.
For kids ages 3-5 who have not yet entered Kindergarten. (At least 3 years old and fully toilet-trained.)
Bees and Botany

July 7 – 10
Monday – Thursday, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Summer is a perfect time to explore the garden. Learn about plants, flowers and insects through art, stories and songs. Experiment with traveling seeds, make a flower weaving project and create “seed lollipops” to grow plants at home.
For kids ages 3-5 who have not yet entered Kindergarten. (At least 3 years old and fully toilet-trained.)
Ready, Set, Vet
July 14 – 17
Monday – Thursday, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Let’s put on our lab coats and learn how veterinarians take care of all kinds of animals! Discover how X-rays can reveal animal insides, observe how animals change as they grow from babies to adults and create animal art to celebrate our furry and feathered friends.
For kids ages 3-5 who have not yet entered Kindergarten. (At least 3 years old and fully toilet-trained.)
Space Explorers
July 21 – 24
Monday – Thursday, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Join us for a four-day outer space adventure! Build and launch a rocket to the Moon, make planetary orbital art, and explore stars and constellations of the night sky.
For kids ages 3-5 who have not yet entered Kindergarten. (At least 3 years old and fully toilet-trained.)
Water Wonders
July 28 – 31
Monday – Thursday, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Make a splash in a camp all about water! Follow the water cycle from clouds to soil and experiment with making puddles. Use your science skills to observe how materials absorb or repel water. Test whether objects sink or float, then build a boat to sail the seas!
For kids ages 3-5 who have not yet entered Kindergarten. (At least 3 years old and fully toilet-trained.)
Little Scientists
August 4 – 7

Monday – Thursday, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Discover the magic of science! Learn what scientists do and the tools they use. Try a variety of new experiments each day exploring water, magnets, colors and even chemical reactions.
For kids ages 3-5 who have not yet entered Kindergarten. (At least 3 years old and fully toilet-trained.)
Forest Friends
August 11 – 14
Monday – Thursday, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Put on your hiking boots and meet us at Camp Imagine! Together we’ll learn to identify plants and animals in the forest, set up our campsite and create fun nature-based art.
ELEMENTARY CAMPS FOR AGES 6-7
- Designed for kids ages 6-7 who have completed Kindergarten. (Kids turning 6 this summer who have completed kindergarten are included. Other age exceptions are determined on a case-by-case basis by the Education Director.)
- All camps will have a brief (10-minute) snack break built into each day. Campers must bring their own snack and eat only at designated times and places. Campers should also bring a water bottle.
- All Elementary Camps run Monday through Friday except the week of June 30-July 3 (Monday through Thursday).
- Most camps run half-days from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Select weeks will feature full-day camps from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Campers must bring their own lunch (refrigerators and microwaves not available).
- The first Elementary Camps take place the week of June 23.

Space is the Place (HALF DAY)
June 23 – 27
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
3…2…1…We have liftoff! Enjoy an out-of-this-world week of space exploration. Build a Mars rover, experiment with orbits, act out the life of a star and search for life on other planets.
For kids ages 6-7 who have completed Kindergarten or first grade.
Science Gets Messy (HALF DAY)
June 30 – July 3
Monday – Thursday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Spend four days experimenting with mud, slime, sand, foam and all of our other favorite messy science activities. Don’t worry – there’s plenty of time for clean-up, too!
For kids ages 6-7 who have completed Kindergarten or first grade.
Dino Days (FULL DAY)
July 7 – 11
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join us for a week of prehistoric fun! Make your own dinosaur egg, map out a fossil dig site and learn about the tools that paleontologists use to solve dinosaur mysteries. Campers will really “dig” learning about life in the distant past!
For kids ages 6-7 who have completed Kindergarten or first grade.
Science Makes Sense (HALF DAY)
July 14 – 18
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
See, hear, feel, smell and taste your way through a week of science fun. Examine the body’s sensory systems, including the ways in which they can play tricks on us. Create optical illusions, make scratch-and-sniff art and design animal ears.
For kids ages 6-7 who have completed Kindergarten or first grade.
High-Flying Fun (HALF DAY)
July 21 – 25

Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
From kites to gliders to rockets, explore the world of aviation by building and testing your own flying crafts. With open space at Evergreen Arboretum, there’s plenty of room to send our creations sky-high!
For kids ages 6-7 who have completed Kindergarten or first grade.
Marine Science Explorers (HALF DAY)
July 28 – August 1
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
From tidepools on the seashore to the deepest depths of the ocean, learn about the strange and wonderful ways that animals have adapted to survive in marine environments. Discover fish that make their own light, giant whales that feed on tiny organisms and squid with a colorful escape plan!
For kids ages 6-7 who have completed Kindergarten or first grade.
Construction Crew (HALF DAY)
August 4 – 8
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
We’re looking for budding builders and aspiring architects! Construct tall towers, beautiful bridges and gravity-defying structures with a variety of construction tools and toys.
For kids ages 6-7 who have completed Kindergarten or first grade.
Superhero Training (FULL DAY) – Camp is FULL
August 11 – 15
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
In this creative camp, our superheroes-in-training will design costumes and vehicles for fighting crime and saving the world. We’ll also explore how scientists and engineers are working on real superpowers, including super speed, flight, invisibility and more!

Wild Weather (HALF DAY)

August 18 – 22
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Join us outside at the Arboretum for a summer exploration of sun, wind, rain and even snow! Learn the science behind extreme weather events like thunderstorms, tornadoes and hail, as well as how to stay safe when bad weather strikes.
For kids ages 6-7 who have completed Kindergarten or first grade.
Space is the Place (HALF DAY)
August 25 – 29
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The robots are taking over! Learn how robots sense and react to the world around them, then write your own code to direct robots to complete their mission. Can robots talk to each other? Can they help us explore distant planets? Use your imagination to ponder what our robotic future might look like!
This camp has an optional $40 materials fee. At the end of the camp, students will be able to take home their own Edison robot!
For kids ages 7-11 who have completed second grade or higher.
Nature Lovers (FULL DAY)
July 7 – 11
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
We’re bringing your favorite parts of the great outdoors indoors! This camp features art and science projects inspired by nature. Explore how wind and water shape land, practice identifying rocks and fossils and learn ways to protect our natural environment.
For kids ages 7-11 who have completed second grade or higher.
Adventures in Engineering (HALF DAY)
July 14 – 18
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Who can help stop invasive species, protect a village from an avalanche and put on a dazzling electric light show? Engineers can! Spend the week practicing the engineering design process and using tools and technology to solve real-world problems.
For kids ages 7-11 who have completed second grade or higher.
Robot Rally (HALF DAY)
August 4 – 8
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The robots are taking over! Learn how robots sense and react to the world around them, then write your own code to direct robots to complete their mission. Can robots talk to each other? Artful Antics (FULL DAY) – Camp is FULL

Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Experiment with the chemistry of color, play tricks on your eyes with optical illusions and tinker with materials and motion in a camp that blends art and science. Let your creative mind loose with projects such as stop-motion animations and kinetic sculptures.

Mini Med School (FULL DAY)
August 18 – 22
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
As we make our rounds at Imagine General Hospital, we’ll explore germs and diseases, measure vital signs, test reflexes, and learn about the organs and systems hard at work inside every body. When it’s time to prep for surgery, we’ll find out how new technologies help doctors to minimize impact and patients to heal faster.
