Reopening Overview
Our plan is based on the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (updated 4/5/2021) and Healthy Washington Reopening Guidance for Museums (updated 3/19/2021), and World Health Organizations. Dates may change because of mandates or directives.


Waiver
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is a very contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and visitors with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By reserving tickets you acknowledge that you understand and voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 for all.

Please check back frequently, as we review and revise requirements, updates will be posted on our website.

  • Health screen for visitors by signage and verbal confirmation from visitors
  • Plexi Shields have been added to the Front Desk kiosk
  • Hand washing or sanitizing is required upon entry
  • Air scrubbers have been installed
  • Yes, masks are required for visitors ages 3+, even if vaccinated
  • We will provide a disposable mask for you if you do not have one
  • Masks/face coverings must be cloth or disposable medical masks, fully cover the nose and mouth and worn the duration of your visit both indoors and out
  • Medical exemptions, mesh masks, gators, bandanas, face shields and masks with vents are not accepted

 

 

  • Sessions are 2 hours
  • There is a half hour break between sessions to allow for cleaning and sanitizing exhibits
  • Interactive items in the exhibits are limited per timed session and exchanged between breaks for sanitizing
  • The Museum is professionally cleaned every evening after closing, including all restrooms
  • A limited number of visitors will be allowed in the Museum TBD per the Governor’s current phase
  • There is signage with the occupancy limit in each exhibit area
  • No food or beverage is allowed in the Museum at this time
  • Yes, the staff has the same health screening as visitors
  • All Staff will wear an approved mask
  • Staff will stay within specified physical distance of other Staff and visitors whenever possible
  • All Staff will actively wash or sanitize hands regularly
  • There is a COVID Supervisor on staff at all times
  • The Lodge is currently closed due to expansion construction and will reopen at a later date
  • Tall Timbers Rooftop Adventure is open but as always is weather dependent
  • You will want to visit the “all new” Imagine Theatre Exhibit
  • Birthday Parties have been paused until further notice
  • After Hours events are currently paused. This will be evaluated on a continuous basis and will be posted on our website when it becomes available
  • Currently we are not accepting coupons
