Book Repair Volunteer
Purpose | Oversee and maintain the book library at Imagine Children’s Museum, responsible for covering all new books and making basic book repairs. |
Key Responsibilities | Inspect books for damage and provide repairs as needed. Cover new and used hardback books to be able to be used in rotation on the Museum floor and in classrooms. |
Location | Service can be done on or off site depending on volunteer availability. |
Supervision | This position reports to the Visitor Experience Manager. |
Length of Assignment | An ongoing commitment of at least two hours every month is required. |
Time Commitment | Shifts can be scheduled any day Tuesday through Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. |
Qualifications

Experience preferred with repairing books – ideal for those who have worked in schools or libraries Ability to work independently Ability to take direction, seeking assistance when needed Detail-oriented and organized |
