Add Extended Play to Your Summer Camps!
Need a little more time in your day? Add Extended Play when you register for a full-day camp and enjoy expanded drop-off and pick-up times. Campers can arrive as early as 8:30 a.m. and stay as late as 5:00 p.m. Our team will provide a fun, supervised play experience throughout the Museum exhibits before and after camp.
Available for full-day campers only enrolled in full-day camps.

CAMPS for Ages 4–5
- Designed for kids ages 4-5 who have not yet entered Kindergarten.
- Campers must be able to use the restroom completely independently.
- Age exceptions are determined on a case-by-case basis. Please submit an inquiry to education@imaginecm.org to find the most appropriate fit for your camper.
- Campers should bring a water bottle. All camps will have a brief (10-minute) snack break built into each day. Campers must bring their own snack and eat only at designated times and places.
- All camps run Monday through Friday, 9 to 12 p.m.
- Camps run at Imagine Children’s Museum or the Evergreen Arboretum. Please check your specific camp for the location.
- The first Preschool Camp takes place the week of June 22.

Soccer Stars: Courage on the Field
June 22 – 26
***Held at Evergreen Arboretum!*** Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Kick, run, giggle, and grow! In Soccer Stars, young players will explore soccer basics through themed games, imaginative challenges, and team adventures designed just for ages 4–5. Along the way, campers will practice big character traits that great teammates need—like courage, patience, and sharing—while building confidence with every pass and goal.

Bees and Botany
July 6 – July 10

Step into a garden buzzing with life! In Bees and Botany, campers will explore flowers, plants, and the busy insects that help gardens grow through stories, songs, and hands-on discovery. We’ll investigate how seeds travel, create nature-inspired art, try simple garden experiments, and make “seed lollipops” to take home—so campers can grow a little garden magic of their own.

Splash Lab
July 13 – 17
Imagine Children’s Museum Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Water is everywhere—let’s follow it! Campers will dive into hands-on water adventures as we explore puddles, clouds, soil, and seas through playful experiments and creative challenges. We’ll test what sinks or floats, discover which materials soak up water (and which don’t), and design boats ready to sail. Expect big curiosity, little scientists, and plenty of “WOW!” moments.

Launch Squad

Calling all inventors and sky explorers! Campers will design, build, and test high-flying creations—from rockets and launchers to gliders and kites. Using the Arboretum’s wide-open space as our flight zone, we’ll experiment with design, make improvements, and see what makes creations soar farther, faster, and higher. Expect hands-on engineering, teamwork, and big launch-day excitement!

On the Go!

Imagine Children’s Museum Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Buckle up—it’s time to roll, race, and soar! Campers will explore all the ways we move through the world, from speedy cars to roaring trains and flying planes. We’ll create tire-track art, haul big loads with dump trucks, and build ramps to test which racecars go the fastest. Each day brings a new transportation adventure filled with creativity, movement, and hands-on fun.

Little Lab of Wonders
August 3 – 7

Step into our Little Lab of Wonders—where science is full of surprises! Each day, campers will explore hands-on experiments with magnets, colors, and fizzing reactions. Mix, swirl, test, and discover using real tools and big curiosity—learning that the best part of science is asking questions and trying something new.

Into the Woods
August 10 – 14
Imagine Children’s Museum Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Step into the forest—without leaving the museum! Campers will explore the wonders of the woods through imaginative play, stories, hands-on discovery, and nature-inspired art. We’ll learn about forest plants and animals, follow woodland tracks and clues, camp under a pretend night sky, and build friendships as we celebrate the wild forest friends we meet along the way.

Farmers Market Friends
August 17 – 21
Imagine Children’s Museum Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
It’s market day at camp! Campers will explore fruits, vegetables, and farm goodies through imaginative play, stories, and creative projects. Teamwork and kindness take center stage as we discover where food comes from, learn about farms, and meet the people who run them. Put it all together and feel the power of community in action as we build our very own farmers market inside the museum!

Big Bug Adventure
August 24 – 28
Imagine Children’s Museum Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Crawl, flutter, wriggle, and wonder! Campers will explore the fascinating world of bugs through playful discovery, stories, creative art, and hands-on learning. Meet some bugs and make a bug hotel as we investigate where bugs live and their important role in nature—all while practicing curiosity, kindness, and scientific observation.

The Great Pirate Quest
July 6 – 10
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Ahoy! Campers will become part of a pirate crew where teamwork and character are the greatest treasure. We’ll create a Pirate Code based on fairness, bravery, and being true to yourself, then test it through team challenges and clue-solving missions. The week ends with an epic map-led search for hidden treasure.

Enchanted Engineering
July 13 – 17
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
How strong was the bridge in the Three Billy Goats Gruff? Could a huff and a puff really have blown the Little Pigs’ houses away? See the wonder behind design and engineering as we bring fairy tale builds to life with creative projects inspired by our favorite stories!

Robots: Built for Adventure
July 20 – 24
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Robots are on the move! Campers will meet some robots and explore how they sense their surroundings, respond to commands, and help people solve problems every day. From robot dance parties to rover missions inspired by real-world explorations, get hands-on with robots and program them through each adventure we take!

Makers Studio
July 27 – 31
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Campers will step into the makerspace to design, build, and create using a variety of maker tools and materials. Campers will follow the engineering design process to overcome various challenges with technology they build and test. This camp celebrates creativity, problem-solving, and the pride of making something original.

Dino Rangers
August 3 – 7
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join the Dino Rangers research team! Campers will travel back in time to explore dinosaurs and fossils through hands-on activities. We’ll hatch dinosaur eggs, map dig sites, and use paleontology tools to uncover prehistoric mysteries in a week full of discovery and fun.

Superhero Academy
August 10 – 14
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Suit up—Superheroes-in-training will design their powers and use imagination to save the day! Campers will create costumes, vehicles, and gadgets while exploring the real-life science behind superpowers like speed, flight, and invisibility. This high-energy camp blends creativity, teamwork, and heroic missions from start to finish.

Natures Adventures
August 24 – 28
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Grab your field journals and explore the forces that shape our local environment! We’ll investigate how wind and water change the world around us, examine rocks and fossils, and create nature-inspired art along the way. Campers will also discover ways to care for the environment we love – and the flora and fauna we share it with – through curiosity, creativity, and hands-on discovery.

Beat the Clock
June 22 – 26
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Campers will compete in fast-paced physical challenges where every second counts. Each day features rotating “minute-to-win-it” style games that test speed, balance, coordination, and focus. Campers will work solo and in teams, build strategy, and learn how to bounce back, try again, and celebrate personal bests.
For kids ages 9-12 who have completed third grade or higher.
Cryptid Hunters
June 29 – July 3
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Calling all brave investigators! Campers will explore the weirdest corners of folklore and nature through cryptids and cryptozoology. We’ll follow maps and sightings, track clues, and work in teams to solve mysterious cases. Campers will create their own investigations and imagine what could be hiding just beyond the trail.

Innovation Studio
July 6 – 10
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Campers will take their ideas from concept to creation in a real makerspace environment. Using maker tools and technology in our Tinker Shop, campers will follow the engineering design process to design, prototype, test, and refine an original project of their own. This camp emphasizes creative problem-solving, craftsmanship, and learning how to think like a designer and engineer.

Spellbound Science
July 13 – 17
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Step into a world of wizardry where “magic” comes to life through mystery, imagination, and hands-on discovery. Campers will explore potions, illusions, enchanted challenges, and magical experiments while learning how science can create spellbinding effects. This camp blends creativity, teamwork, and wonder in a playful, fantasy-inspired setting.

Story Laboratory
July 20 – 24
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Calling all writers and illustrators! In this camp, campers will create their own children’s picture book from start to finish—writing an original story, developing characters, and illustrating each page. Campers will explore popular children’s literature, learn what makes an engaging tale, and discover how picture books are created and published. Each camper will leave with a completed picture book they wrote and illustrated themselves.

Camera to Canvas
July 27 – 31
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join us in our exploration of photography as an art and science: learning how cameras work and what makes an awesome image. Explore multiple types of photography, from digital masterpieces to cyanotype sun prints! Campers will practice composition, visual storytelling, and photo editing techniques to enhance their artistic vision. We will finish the week with a collection of edited photos that showcase our new skills and creative points of view!

Spotlight Studio
August 3 – 7
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Explore performance in all its forms—acting, music, movement, comedy, spoken word, and creative storytelling! Campers will build confidence, stage presence, and collaboration skills through fun workshops, rehearsals, and performance challenges. Emphasizing encouragement and creativity, celebrate every camper’s unique talents with a joyful end-of-week showcase where everyone gets their moment to shine.

Studio Arts Lab
August 10 – 14
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join us for a creative week filled with hands-on art exploration! Campers will experiment with a variety of mediums—including watercolor, mixed media, and clay—while learning through guided prompts, creative challenges, and plenty of open studio time.
Artists will have the freedom to focus on favorite materials or try something new, and will finish the week with a collection of original artwork that reflects their creativity, imagination, and personal style.

Imagine Med School
August 17 – 21
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Welcome to Imagine General—Med School is in session! Campers will explore how the human body works and how modern medicine helps people feel better. We’ll learn about germs, organs, reflexes, and vital signs through hands-on discovery and imaginative hospital play. At the end of the week, campers will celebrate their learning with a Med School graduation.
For kids ages 9-12 who have completed third grade or higher.
The Party Project
August 24 – 28
Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The challenge: plan and host an end-of-week party for family and friends using a set budget. Throughout the week, campers will work in teams to build the event from start to finish, making decisions about theme, supplies, decorations, activities, and food planning.
Along the way, they’ll practice real-world money skills like tracking spending, budgeting, and making trade-offs, while building leadership, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The week wraps with a celebration for families and friends that campers designed and brought to life.
Summer Museum Makers
Summer Museum Makers is a free summer day camp for curious campers to develop their maker skills in a safe, encouraging, and fun environment. Students will spend four weeks working with projects that blend technology, arts, science, and engineering under the guidance of our expert educators. Gadgets, 3D printing, interactive games, artistic masterpieces, fashion design, and more – what will you make this summer?
Museum Makers is a grant-funded program designed to improve accessibility to summer programs for underserved communities and families. Space is limited and enrollment is not guaranteed. Participants will be randomly selected from applicants for this scholarship program. Please review all eligibility criteria below before applying.
Program Details
Summer Museum Makers is held at Imagine Children’s Museum. We offer two sessions of Summer Museum Makers. Both sessions have the same content, and campers may only attend one of the sessions.
Session 1: July 7 (Tuesday) – July 31 (Friday)
Session 2: August 4 (Tuesday) – August 28 (Friday)
Camps run Monday – Friday (no Monday on 1st week) from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Transportation will not be provided. Parents, guardians, or another designated adult must be able to drop off and pick up their children at Imagine Children’s Museum.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for Summer Museum Makers, the following criteria must be met:
- Participating camper is between the ages of 9 – 12 and will have finished 2nd grade by summer 2026
- The camper’s family qualifies for the Museums for All access program at Imagine Children’s Museum. Cardholders of Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT), Apple Health, CHIP, Foster Parent cards, Provider One, SNAP or WIC may qualify for Museums for All. P-EBT cards do not contribute towards eligibility. Please refer to the Museums for All section in https://www.imaginecm.org/hours-admission/ for more details.

To ensure fairness across all applicants, participants for Summer Museum Makers will be selected at random from a pool of all eligible applicants. Selected families will be required to provide proof of eligibility via photo ID and proof of Museums for All access eligibility. Failure to provide proof of eligibility will result in removal from the program.
