Join us for the launch of SPLAT!, an exciting new hands-on art program designed for children ages 2-5! This weekly experience encourages creativity, sensory exploration, and developmental growth in a playful and engaging environment. Each session emphasizes the creative process, allowing young children to explore different art materials and discover new textures, colors, and ideas through open-ended play.
APRIL Activities:
Week 1: Finger Painting Fun
Children explore vibrant colors with their fingers, creating abstract art on large sheets of paper. Color Mixing Exploration – Kids experiment with primary colors to see how new shades are made by mixing.
Week 2: Playdough Sculpting
Kids can squish, roll, and shape playdough into fun forms, fostering creativity and fine motor skills. Playdough Prints – Little ones press textured objects into the dough to create unique patterns and prints.
Week 3: Sensory Bins: Nature Exploration
Sensory bins filled with rice, beans, and natural items like leaves and flowers let kids explore different textures while enhancing fine motor skills. Nature Stamps – Using leaves, sticks, and other natural materials dipped in paint, children will create beautiful prints on paper.
Week 4: Bubble Wrap Stamping
Children press colorful bubble wrap into paint and stamp it onto paper for fun, textured prints. Shaving Cream Exploration – Swirl, squish, and draw in shaving cream to discover its smooth texture and create fun patterns. Why SPLAT!?
