It all began with a moment of connection. Spencer Hurst, one of the owners of Glacier West Self Storage, was introduced to Imagine Children’s Museum through friends and colleagues at an annual breakfast. What started as a simple introduction quickly grew into a meaningful relationship.

Inspired by Imagine’s mission and its impact on young lives, Spencer’s enthusiasm became contagious. He shared his passion with Glacier West’s leadership team, many of whom are parents themselves, and together, they made a bold decision to sponsor the 2024 Champions for Children breakfast and then become Imagine’s very first annual business sponsor in 2025.

This pioneering partnership has already made a significant impact. Glacier West’s sponsorship, and the sponsorship support of other businesses, has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support Imagine’s vital community programs, including Community Access Nights and Museums on The Go. These initiatives bring playful learning experiences to children and families who might not otherwise have access.

Jennifer Harney, Glacier West’s Director of Marketing, has experienced Imagine firsthand with her son. “It felt like a program and community effort that we wanted to be a part of,” she shared. “As a business, we appreciate how Imagine supports the North Sound region and offers meaningful exposure to both existing and potential customers.”

Glacier West’s commitment to community runs deep. Since its founding in 2019, the company has grown from 7 to 24 properties, primarily in Western Washington with one location in Idaho. Despite this rapid growth, they remain rooted in the values that shaped their beginnings, including giving back to the communities that support them.

They are deeply involved in supporting schools, local events like the Marysville Strawberry Parade, and nonprofit organizations such as the American Cancer Society. Their passion for community shines through in every partnership.

As Imagine’s first annual sponsor, Glacier West Self Storage has been featured throughout the year in newsletters, event promotions, and at the October 10 Champions for Children breakfast. Their leadership is a powerful example of how businesses can strengthen the communities where they work and live.

Sponsorship is more than a marketing opportunity, it is a chance to invest in the future of our children and the vitality of this region.
