Volunteer Toy Demonstrator

Purpose Showcase exciting toys, games and other retail items with visitors, helping support the Museum Store as an ongoing and important source of revenue for our nonprofit children’s museum.
Key Responsibilities Work in partnership with the Museum Store Manager to select and feature items from the Museum Store, and to demonstrate them with visitors on the Museum floor. This will include:

  • Working closely with the Museum Store manager to determine items to showcase on the Museum floor
  • Familiarizing yourself with the featured items
  • Setting up a display cart or table for the demonstration on the Museum floor
  • Interacting with adults and children as you help facilitate the demonstration
  • Providing feedback to the Museum Store manager
Location Service performed throughout the Museum depending on task(s) assigned.
Supervision This position reports to the Museum Store Manager.
Length of Assignment An ongoing commitment of at least one day every two weeks is required.
Time Commitment

Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays

Flexible shift 2 hours between 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Some additional time is required to select and familiarize yourself with the item.  This can be done on or off site.
