Big ideas for busy hands!

i-engineers invites kids to explore engineering through hands-on pop-up activities at Imagine Children’s Museum. Each session introduces a new topic or creative challenge, giving children the chance to build, test, tinker, wonder, and play their way through big ideas.

This program is made possible through our partnership with Fluke Corporation, an Everett-based company helping bring fun, approachable engineering experiences to young learners in our community.

Rocketry & Aerospace Engineering

How does pressure launch a rocket?

Build your own paper rocket and launch it sky-high using air pressure. Experiment with the shape of your rocket’s nose and the number of fins to see whether you can make it more aerodynamic.

Thermal Engineering

What does chemistry have to do with ice cream? More than you think!

Families will explore how engineers and scientists use materials to control heat and temperature in everyday life. Start by experimenting with a thermal camera to see how heat moves between different substances.

Then put those discoveries to delicious use with an ice cream activity.
