Communications Volunteer

Purpose Contribute to a strong Communications and Marketing Department by helping promote Imagine’s various events and programs, including enrichment classes, camps, field trips and Museum-on-the-Go programs.
Key Responsibilities As directed by the Communication’s Department, assist with the sharing of upcoming programs on various Community Calendars, as well as proofreading content prior to production and distribution.
Location Imagine Children’s Museum Communications Department.
Supervision This position reports to the Deputy Director for Communications and the Communications Department’s Graphics and Production Manager.
Length of Assignment An ongoing commitment of at least one day every two weeks is required.
Time Commitment Each shift will be 2-3 hours and may be scheduled according to the volunteer’s availability. Shifts can be scheduled on any day of the week between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications
  • Detail-oriented, organized and reliable
  • Able to adapt to a variety of tasks and follow detailed directions
  • Able to use a computer and post on web-based calendars
  • Commitment to follow Museum safety guidelines
