Volunteer Photographer

Purpose Contribute to a strong Communications and Marketing Department by taking professional photographs as and when required.
Key Responsibilities As directed by the Communication’s Department, assist with limited photography and videography needs at the Museum.
Location Imagine Children’s Museum Communications Department.
Supervision This position reports to the Deputy Director for Communications and the Communications Department’s Graphics and Production Manager.
Length of Assignment Mutually-agreeable times, determined by Museum needs.
Time Commitment Each volunteer shift will likely be 2-3 hours.

Qualifications

 

  • Professional photography and videography experience
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Able to adapt to a variety of tasks and follow detailed directions
  • Commitment to follow Museum safety guidelines
Benefits Necessary training given regarding Museum policies on photography when working with children and families; opportunities to gain new skills; able to earn service hours; Museum membership after 100 hours of service in a 12-month period 10% discount in the Museum store after 100 hours of service in a 12-month period
