Volunteer Visitor Greeter

Purpose Visitor Greeters are enthusiastic, warm and personable volunteers who welcome visitors at the front desk gate.  Volunteers provide a warm initial presence to children and adults alike, interacting and answering any questions, and guiding visitors into the Museum exhibits, or saying goodbye as visitors exit. Visitor Greeters help create an unforgettable Museum experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet visitors with a smile, saying hello and welcome
  • Answer any visitor questions as they enter the exhibit area
  • Guide visitors to exit and thank them for coming
  • Other duties may be assigned based on need and on additional skills that the volunteer brings
Location Main entrance of Imagine Children’s Museum
Supervision This position reports to the Visitor Experience Manager
Length of Assignment An ongoing commitment of at least two hours per week is required
Time Commitment Shifts can be scheduled Saturday, Sunday and school holidays between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

  • Enthusiasm for interacting with children and their families
  • Reliable
  • Independent
  • Friendly and warm demeanor
  • Light physical activity/ability to stand for 2-4 hours
